Un Elefante’s vision is to lead our nation's efforts in the creation of authentic curriculum materials that celebrate and support the Hispanic oral tradition.
Un Elefante’s mission is to encourage learning environments rich with Hispanic culture and language where children play, learn and thrive.
To fulfill its mission, Un Elefante
-
creates culturally and linguistically relevant curriculum materials for bilingual (Spanish/English) instruction in grades PK-K;

introduces literacy through traditional circle games, children's songs, riddles, proverbs, and tongue twisters from the Hispanic oral tradition;

encourages active physical movement through play;

supports children's creative expression through art;
and

promotes family involvement in children's learning.
